Most Helpful Positive Review Millett Buck Gold (Mildot)
I purchased the mildot version of this scope. The optics are clear and crisp. Comes with threaded aluminum sunshade. Great scope and you can't beat the price. Haven't owned it long enough to tell how well it holds zero but based an other reviews I think it will do fine. The only con is that the owners manual is generic and there is no spec sheet. I called the customer service for the specifics I wanted to know (dot size of 0.75 mil and 65 MOA of total adjustment) Pros: Clarity, Ease of Use, Cost Cons: Generic Manual

Best Bang For The Buck

I have two of these. I used to use BSA's. My first Millet cured me of that mistake. One is mounted on a Rock River LAR-8 and the other is on a CZ .308 Varmint. I have hit ground hogs at 600+ yards with this setup...
Pros: Extremely clear glass at all zoom levels

I liked the scope i bought 2 of them i Have a mil dot recticle on a .308 win and a fine on a.204 ruger i like them so far i have had only one hickup which was a seal ring coming off when i rotated the zoom a little fast when it was about 10 degrees out but the scope still functions well and i love both of them
Pros: A good all around clear picture, low price and tough
Cons: if you do not adjust zoom knob slowly it will take out the seal ring inside.

GREAT optic for the money!!

I have used mostly lower end scopes for my shooting since I am normally only at the 100 yard mark and in. Bought a LAR8 and decided to get this scope as a first step in the higher priced scope market.

I am THOROUGHLY impressed! I looked through a couple of higher priced/quality scopes before I got the Buck Gold and I doubt I will be upgrading after looking through this scope after it was mounted.

The only complaint is a minor one but gets annoying. The side focus knob moves on recoil. Its a minor annoyance and I'll contact Millett about a repair but since I am only punching paper, I just adjust it after every mag.
Pros: Does everything REALLY well
Cons: Side focus moves on recoil

I am very happy with this scope. Its big bright and full of features. I recommend to try one of these Scopes before you spend 1000+ on another brand. Also I was very happy with opticsplanet for fast service and good prices. They will keep getting my buisness.

Millet Buck GoldSeries w/fine crosshairs

Ten years ago you would have to pay $900.00 to $1,800.00 to get the features this scope provides. I have mine mounted on a rifle that has little recoil, so I can't attest to that.
Pros: This is a big powerful scope for pecision shooting
Cons: you can get the job done with less, but you wil llove this.

Best scope for the money!

I took my Savage 30-06 out to the range to sight in this scope and it was amazing. I was hitting dead on with two inch groupings from 200 yds. You get alot of scope for your money!
Pros: Fast and easy focus.
Cons: None so far
