Most Helpful Negative Review a waste of money, don't buy
Contrary to good reviews I saw about this item on a Brownell's website perhaps, this drop in trigger assembly once installed by a competent gunsmith, was terrible. The MIM metal pieces did not reset well at all and were not a clean break. Also unduly heavy. The original Springfield Armory trigger that came with my AR rifle was better. I took it out and replaced it with a Timney Impact 3-5 AR unit which was a hundred dollars more but will worth the extra money. Better than a Giselle trigger. Deciding whether to purchase two more of the Timney for other ARs.

trigger does not reset forward without assistance

by rudy, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on October 12, 2024
Had a gunsmith install who showed me how the trigger did not reset fully without being pressed forward. He surmised that in time as it wore in, the mim metal part would improve. Break was fine, trigger acceptable but decided to replace with a Timney also from Optics Planet. Had seen this item get positive reviews so I purchased it on basis of other peson's comments. Inexpensive so you get what you pay for but better triggers are on the market.
Pros:
  • Inexpensive
Cons:
  • reset was slow
Best Used for:
  • recreational use, not match
  • recreational use not match grade

ALMOST, BUT NO

Finish is nice- design and finish overall are deceiving however;
I tried this in two Aero lowers: the back of the trigger part required fitting where it interfaced with the selector- it was too tall otherwise: I also compared to a geislee and a larue and it was ~1.5mm off. The anti-walk pins were very tight in the frame.
The trigger- installed with 3.5lb springs was light... but not crisp/ just to get it running required heavy lubrication. I'll try it for a bit before replacing to see how it goes with some break-in. The ridges on the shoe are interesting. The AERO milspec trigger is better for the money.
Pros:
  • Appearance
Cons:
  • function
