I own the large Brunton 7x40 as well as the tiny Brunton Echo 7x18 scope. This Minox is more elegant, more durable and very much easier to keep handy in a jacket or backpack pocket, due to its shape and size. Being waterproof, I sometimes take it on hikes instead of my Pentax 8x25 waterproof binocular, saving some weight and backpack space. Its close-focusing ability makes it useful in so many ways. Highly recommended, worth the price.
Pros: Compact elegant design; close-focusing superb optics; true waterproofing
Cons: Needs both hands to use--impossible to hold and focus with one hand; soft pouch not good for quick-draw.
