This is a great stock, very lightweight, sturdy. However, many of the reviews ding this for not having a spring, not being easily adjustable, using a roll pin, etc. THAT IS THE POINT OF THIS PARTICULAR MODEL. The “compliant” model is for people who live in restricted states where telescoping stocks are deemed illegal. If you live in a normal state, they also make a version that is fully adjustable. You should probably order that one.
This stock can be adjusted for length of pull by knocking out the roll pin with a punch, setting your length of pull, and then reinstalling the roll pin.
As a side note, I found that a rifle I installed this on had its original stock drilled and permanently affixed to its buffer tube. There was no easy way to remove it, so I ordered a new buffer tube to accompany this stock.
If you live in a restricted state, order without hesitation!
