Reviews & Ratings for Mossberg 500 12 Gauge Security Barrel 18.5in Matte — 14 reviews — Page 1

I ordered and received my barrel in 2 days. Barrel in good shape but nit perfect. Had a few areas where the finish was rubbed off to bare metal. I looks like it mostly happened in the package. Some of the finish rubbed off on the paper in package with it.

It was a simple switch with the 28" barrel. The price was great along with the discount I got for a first time buyer and shipping was fast as well

Fits and works, hard to find but when optics got in stock bought right away. Fits my 500.

First time buying from OpticsPlanet, and first time buying a supplementary barrel. Bought it for Mossberg 88 that had the 28in barrel originally, 18.5in barrel is for home defense. Great experience with OpticsPlanet, product was in stock, shipped quickly, and arrived in less than a week. Barrel fit perfectly, exactly as expected. Only minor disappointment was the barrel condition itself. It came in original Mossberg box/plastic seal, but has 4-5 small abrasions across exterior finish and the inside of the barrel looks dirtier than I would expect for a new product. The inside cleaned up as easily as anything else, and perhaps it’s just my inexperience, but the barrel was advertised as NEW and the packaging seemed to be original so I was surprised. Overall happy and would purchase again.

Item was in stock, at a good price, got to me in a couple of days, and was packed very good.

Just as expected. Mounted right up and functioned as desired

Barrel arrived in great condition. Good quality and service. I’ll buy again!

I ordered this barrel for a replacement for my mod 500 with a 20-inch heavy barrel. The picture on the web site showed a barrel with the attachment that goes over the magazine tube. This is the type of barrel I now have. The barrel I received has the screw type attachment that screws into the magazine tube. I cannot use this barrel. The picture should be changed. Disappointed.

Swapped this on ion place of the 28inch barrel. The gun now looks more like a shotgun should. I fired some rounds threw it and it works flawlessly.
