If you want something that works and don't mind that it looks like it was dragged behind a car on the pavement then this is for you. But if you care about cosmetics then steer away from this. This is the second barrel that I received. Both barrels came in their original factory sealed blister packs. The first one had so many scratches and areas of missing bluing (bare metal) that I returned it for an exchange. The next one was only a tiny bit better cosmetically. Since it was mechanically sound and I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it a second time, I decided to keep it and had it reblued, for free, by a gunsmith friend of mine. I expected better from Mossberg.
