mossberg wrench

by jxlii100, from TX, United States Written on August 21, 2015
It received the wrench which seemed to be well constructed. Liked the feel of the tool to remove and insert chokes. The tool is not the right one for my shotgun. When ordering the wrench make sure you order the right wrench. Mossberg has multiple wrench patterns for their chokes. I believe plant optic had the wrong heading listed for the mossberg wrench.

A necessary evil, works great, way overpriced

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on February 13, 2014
Got this to insert/remove chokes for my 590A1. I bought a 28" barrel for it, with chokes, and for whatever reason Mossberg doesn't include the wrench. I thought about just buying a universal wrench but after reading reviews about potentially scratching the end of the barrel I decided I needed the real deal. Had a hard time finding these online (lots of out of stock and backorders). Opticsplanet was one of the only places that had it ready to ship. Standard shipping more than doubled the cost! When it arrived in a big cardboard box instead of a little bubble envelope that explained why. Overall I'm happy because it pulled a stuck choke out in no time and without scratching my barrel. And as hard as these are to find, I guess sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and pay 17 bucks for a tiny piece of steel.
Pros: Does the trick
Cons: Price
