Great shooting rest on a budget
I am rating this rest based on the fact it cost less than $25. You can spend more and you will get more. But, if you rarely need (or want) a steady rest, this is your item. It is made of sturdy plastic with padded contact areas where the stock of firearm will touch. It's great for rifles and good for pistols. Although it's made of plastic it's far from "flemsy" but very lightweight and easy to transport. The adjustable cradle has a large lugged nut to raise/lower and is easily actuated with one hand while looking through a scope. When you find your spot, just give the lock knob on the side...

Perfect for sighting in new handgun sights
Nice alternative to the large rifle rest for sighting in new red dot and night sights on handguns. This stand works perfect for the job. Easy assembly, stable and lightweight. The front barrel rest shooting pad is made of a hard rubber back hand pad is softer. One of the best parts it is made here in the USA.

A good tool to have
I have to place something under the magazine of the gun to be able to hold it level in the rest. Solid and steady otherwise.

MTM Front Rifle Rest
This is my first front rifle rest, so I have a limited point of refference. I purchased it for use with PCP and springer air guns. It works great with both pistols and rifles. I give it an overall rating of 4 because the all plastic construction might be too light for use with center fire weapons.
Pros: Provides a stable shooting platform for shooting from a rest.
Cons: Functionally, there are no negatives, but the all plastic construction distracts from the aestetics.
