Most Helpful Positive Review Almost Great
These are durable, well made seat covers. They are long enough to extend onto the floor a bit to give lots of coverage (I drive a F150 Crew cab). They are also wide enough. The only oversight (and a fairly big one) is that once these are on, there is no access to the seatbelts unless you remove the cover from one or all of the seats that you want to use. Pros: Great fabric, size, durability Cons: No holes to access seatbelt.

Great seat cover

by Nancie, from FL, United States Written on April 25, 2021
I have a Tundra Crew Max and this is the first seat cover that really fit my truck. It is oversized so it also covers the portion of carpet that my weathertec floor liners don't cover. The only minor draw back is you must have you backseat headrest installed, which I removed for rear visibility. Once reinstalled the cover was easily attached.
Pros:
  • Amply size
  • Thick and water resistant
  • Dog nails or knives in back pockets will not harm the cover
Cons:
  • Form of attachments could be improved
  • No way to fasten seat belts or tie down a load
Best Used for:
  • Protecting your seat from cargo or animals, mud, dirt , liquids

Works perfectly

by Pat, from FL, United States Written on February 17, 2017
Really helps to keep sand, dirt, and hair off of seats. Easy to put in and remove to clean or brush off. It's long enough to cover items on floor board and protect them. Solid design keeps dirt on mat and not in cracks. Needs a strap across bottom off seat at back to keep wind from blowing it up

Durable and cost effective

by Chris, from ID, United States Written on January 27, 2017
Got The mud river seat protector and it works great. I have two hunting dogs that allows them to ride in the backseat without tearing up the backseat. And inexpensive way to take care of your seats. See covers made from heavy duty Canvas covers go down to the floor. Keep the dirt and dog hair off of everything

Does what it is advertised to do. Helps protect your seat. Very durable. Buy the xl one for full size trucks. Fits good in a superduty. Don't know why the Camo one is cheaper but Would recommend to anyone.

Mud River car seat

by H2Ofoul, from NV, United States Written on February 17, 2015
I used this on a hunting trip this weekend. We had lots of wet clothes and mud. Cover is heavy enough that it doesn't move and even covers the floor mats. Kept my seats clean and dry. It did have an odor when removed from the packaging. Went away after a couple of days in the sun. I do not notice any order at this time.
Pros:
  • Ease of installation
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • seat protection

Does the job

by dogmom, from OH, United States Written on September 4, 2014
The Mud River car seat cover is made of heavy, thick material that covers the back seat of our Jeep Cherokee quite well. It is doing the job it was designed to do for us--protect the back seats from dog hair, slobber and potential nail damage to the leather seats. The lack of holes for seat belts isn't an issue for us since the dogs are the primary passengers in the back seat. If we have human passengers, we'll just remove the cover. Actually, I prefer no holes because the hair won't get into the nooks and crannies of the seat belt part. The price on OpticsPlanet was lower than on any other site and shipping was fast. We're pleased.
