Unique Pack
This variant (Black, INTL) of the Mystery Ranch NICE frame with Load Sling is unique in both its color and the buckles used. To my knowledge the US made NICE frames and Load Slings weren't available in black. This variant also uses the newer SJ buckles found on Guide Light MT packs and frames. As far as quality goes, this pack feels every bit as well built as the US made NICE stuff. It does not feel lighter duty like the Guide Light MT stuff. In the end I took off a star because the buckles are swapped to the newer style. For some that may be an advantage and for others that may be a disadvantage.

Works with Guide Light MT bags
Purchased this frame and a Pintler only bag setup for a guide light mt frame. This frame has the same buckles, but requires you too add buckels to the load sling on the pintler bag; however, this frame has extra buckles on the bottom straps that can be swapped directly over, so no need to buy additional buckles. Bottom straps can be used with the strap only attachments on the front of the pintler. Only tbi g that doesn't work is the top straps need crisscross to properly hold the pintler in place and thr mid shoulder interior strap has nothing to attach to on this frame. Other than that, solid frame that works with other products with a few quick mods.

It is a wonderful pack
You get what you pay for and quality shouldn't come cheap. For years I've dreamt about owning a backpack from Mystery Ranch and finally took the plung and invested in this model for Camping, Hunting and Bugout. Having one and using it makes the wait worth while. I can confidently say the quality is like no other and it fits like a glove. I comfortably carry 70-85lbs with ease and the back back handles the weight without any manufacturing risks to the seams. I highly recommend this product.

Great Pack - Wrong Buckles
I have been using Mystery Ranch NICE frame packfor the past decade. These packs are as tough and functional as any on the market and the MR Load Sling NICE frame pack is no different. The reason for 4 stars is that the buckles on the pack are not what are pictured, so I had to change all of them out to match the MR bags that I plan to change out with the Load Sling.
