Marshal Pack
Pack is perfect for back-country elk hunting. Too bad had to pay more cash for the multicam. Perfect for hauling out elk quarters and head mounts. I paid more money b/c I wanted multicam but the coyote and green look good at elevation. The hip belt and shoulder straps construction is main reason for purchasing the pack. It holds everything need for long days in cold weather of glassing and hunting. Don't waste your money on anything else.
Mystery ranch Marshall is a great pack
I have a badlands summit and some other packs to compare this to. The quality is great, layout is great, and so many useful straps and buckles. For the sale price it cannot be beat. Telescoping size adjustment is also great. I was hoping to stuff 80 pounds in it and ruck as if it was nothing after reading other reviews on how well this pack distributed weight. That part was a little disappointing. Probably due to being mislead from all the fantastic reviews. It does carry well.. but it’s still 80 pounds. Overall, I am no longer looking for a new pack ... the Marshall is the one.

Full disclosure here, I’m a brand new mountain hunter and I bought this for my first pack hunt in Colorado. I haven’t tried any of the other smaller packs from Mystery Ranch nor have I tried any other competitor’s pack. I selected this pack because I wanted something that would do it all and that’s exactly what this thing does.

My return to Mystery Ranch
I left Mystery Ranch due to my excitement with newer fresher companies and their packs. I am addicted to sheep hunting, and am continually trying to fine-tune my equipment. After trying 4 different packs from 3 manufacturers I found they all had their benefits, but not one gave me everything that I was used to. Upon my return to the MR Marshall I was happy to see they reduced the dry weight without reducing quality. Im proud to be back, and overjoyed to have ended the search and purchased my last pack.

Marshal pack
Excellent pack. Great quality, high price though. If you can deal with the price tag it is worth it. The torpedo pockets are definitely a bonus, as well as the water bottle pouches on the sides. Even when the pack is completely full it does not effect these pouches size.

Great backpack
Love the pack, great price! Fast shipping. I highly recommend this product and I highly recommend optics planet. I also ordered some accessories that work great with the pack. I have taken it out and the weight distribution is amazing especially for carrying heavy loads

Marshall pack on guidelite
When you hold this pack and look at the seams and stitching, you will see it is gonna last. The Marshall is big, so consider that, but it is comfortable. MR has improved the frame and function significantly from the NICE frame to the Guidelite. No modifications needed now. You have to spend a whole lot more to get a pack this good.
