Great pack for all uses!
The popup feature is amazingly versatile, changing from a day pack to one that can fit a full weeks' of supply (in a dry bag). I am able to pack all the food and gear in the popup mode, set up camp, and convert the pack back as a scouting pack. Suspension is comfortable and more than adequate given it's dual-use. It's not a NICE frame, but the price of this bag is also much friendlier on the wallet.
Mystery Ranch Pop Up 28 Backpack
This is a super cool pack, for the western hunter to use. I bought both pop ups. really like them, can't go wrong with MR products. This could be used for more than just western hunting. both could be used for day hunts, truck hunts, to extended hunts, thanks to the load hauling options.

- lower side compression buckle in odd spot, but functional

Best decision I’ve made
After many years looking for the “right pack” this beauty came in to my life. I’ve spent the last 2 weekends on long day packs in to the wilderness doing some scouting for the upcoming deer opener. I just can’t wait to put a load of meat on this bad boy. To many years of wasted money on packs that didn’t fit my real need. I see this being my go to for the next 10-20 years!

Pop up 28 nice pack
Very nice pack!! This pack is built well. It should hold up to any hunting and packing a quarter out well. Wish the waist strap was a little bigger. It needs a little more adjustment for a bigger guy.
