I only rate tactical products based on function and comfort. I do not rate products based on the "cool factor."
I have an AR-15 and an AK-47 that each have a Picatinny rail system. I wanted the ability to switch between a scope and red dot quickly with a return to zero capability.
I have one rifle in which I use the A.R.M.S. brand quick mounts (which are the best) but they are quite pricy. I took a chance on the NcStar product and it paid off.
This is not the equal to the A.R.M.S. brand, but it works. I am using them on both the AR and AK and they hold their zero.
Make sure to remove the nut and set screw. Apply Locktite 242 (the blue stuff) to the set screw and screw it back in. Once you get the proper tightness of the mount to the rail, them apply Locktite to the set screw and screw on the lock nut.
Pros: It works and works well.
