I bought this laser for my XD 45 service model. When I got it out the box it worked great. It was visible a half mile in day light and 2 miles at night. Went to the gun range to try it and didnt get through one full mag before it just died on me. Put new battery in and everything and still nothing. Obviously the guts arent secure enough for the recoil. Waste of money and time!

I bought this for my Glock 30 with some doubt it work ok. I thought maybe it should go on my .22 AR style target rifle instead. All this was while it was in transit. When I got the NC Star compact laser it fit my Glock 30 like it was made just for it . The fit was tight to the rail and it locked up easily with no play., When I turned the laser on the green dot was right in front of the front sight almost perfectly sighted in. I took 2 shot at 10 yards and it was 2 inches high. Since this is my carry pistol I adjusted the laser so it was right on dead center with 230gr hand loads . I took 15 more shots and this model NC Star laser held zero with no other adjustments needed. The green laser showed up good at 10 yards on the cloudy day I shot at the range. Over all I happy with this purchase and had no problems with this laser. I don't shoot my carry gun at 50 yards once in awhile at the range I'll take a 25 yard shot but 95% of my practice with it is at 5,10 and 15 yards. This NC Star compact laser is perfect for that it locks up tight on my Glock 30 I found this to be a great addition to my carry gun and for under $50 it's a good buy.

great piece but the back extended out too far. the term compact laser in the title is decieving. it will fit a full size rail. lucky for me i had a handgun scope rail i connected it to so its a good low cost alternative if your looking for a sub $100 green laser. i havent taken it to the range so i dont know how well it will hold zero.
Pros: affordable, all metal contruction, nice bright laser, good range.
Cons: didnt fit my compact sr9c and most likly wont fit yours.

I bought this laser for training based on it's lower price and it's quick release feature. I wasn't expecting much so I was pleased to find that it's made all of metal and so far has worked well.

Very nice bright green dot BEFORE I fired a mag from my AR. The problem is now the is a bright green dot, with a lot of bright tiny dot all around it. Looks like a blast of green bird shot with a slug hole in the center. Sight attached to a free float rail, mounted very solid. If used on a pistol, it would be fine.
Pros: Affordable, lightweight, bright
Cons: not durable on rifle.

The dot is a little big compared to others. For a pistol who cares??? The only issue I have with it is the switch to turn on/off. It is a push from one side to turn on push from the other to turn off. When put in a case on a gun it can be accidentally turned on and there is no timer to turn it off. I just wedge a small piece of cardboard in it after use to lock it. Other than that, for the money it does the job very well.
Pros: INEXPENSIVE
Cons: Switch is easily engaged accidentally

Quick delivery; second one I've purchased and $10 cheaper than the first one I bought at a gun show; very easy to install and zero in; seems to be very high quality; bought this one for my Bushmaster, but haven't shot it yet; have other one on my Sig P250 Compact 40 Cal.
Pros: Great price
Cons: Size

Put this on my Ruger SR40. Fits nice and looks great. It does stick out past the gun about 1". No big deal, but still be nice if it was flush. After 100 so far, still on zero. And super fast shipping from Opticsplanet. You guys are great.
Pros: Very bright. At 35 feet outside in the sun, you can still see this very well. Nice on and off switch.
Cons: Maybe just a bit on the big side.
