I bought this for the specific purpose of being able to mount a light at 12 o'clock forward of the sight base on a rifle I'm not allowed to make "permanent" mods to. It works perfectly for that purpose. Not solid enough to mount sights or aiming lasers to. Only reason for the 4 is it springs back against the delta ring about half an inch with very little effort. Kind of distracting if you aren't expecting it.
