Yes, the short and carbine extended versions should fit, however the Ruger 556 is notoriously tight when changing handguards, so some extra effort or even minor fitment could be needed.

Solid piece of hardware. This AR-15 Quad Rail is well built. However, is not for piston-driven (e.g. Adams PS) AR-15's. I do however, recommend this quad rail for non-PS, direct-impingement/gas-tube AR-15's.
