NcStar offset 1" flashlight mount

by Bobzilla, from OH, United States Written on December 17, 2020
Looks great, good quality, and it gets your flashlight out of the way of your line of sight of your optic or laser but not so far that it's in your way.My only dislike is that it has a fairly glossy black finish so if you don't like glossy black accessories on your weapon, this may bother you but it's not too bad & you could spray it flat black in no time.

Good, and less $$$ than the fancy mounted lights

by Valley, from VA, United States Written on January 9, 2018
You basically get what you pay for. Its simple, it holds most tactical lights, and the overall price when couple with a decent Streamlight is far cheaper than the typical one-piece mounted light. Both are win wins, its just one is plenty more inexpensive than the other.
Pros:
  • Price
Cons:
  • Its a bit heavy for its size
Best Used for:
  • AR15, M4

Decent mount

Keeps the torch at a great angle and fairly low profile.. a tip = I used a section of thin vinyl(think old hunk of shower curtain) in the lower half to keep the torch extra snug. For the price it is a fantastic mount! It's NOT LaRue Quality.. but for most it will be just fine.
Pros:
  • Not expensive
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • torch with approx. 1" OD

Excellent bang for your buck!

by mz, from PA, United States Written on March 1, 2015
Mounted my NiteCore P10 with no issues. Solid mount with no wiggle. Quick disconnect works great. The finish on mine is glossy, and is starting to wear after minimal use. Nothing a rattle can of flat black can't fix. For the money, this is a great mount if you want a flashlight mount that can be taken off easily.

I bought this item as a flashlight holder for my bow after mounting a small piece of picatinny to it. It works well enough and is of reasonable quality. Optics planet screwed me again, however, because this item doesn't ship right away. I think they direct ship it from whatever southeast Asian country is manufacturing it. It took about 3 weeks to receive.

Great mount for AR's

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on July 14, 2014
This is my go to mount for all of my railed long guns. It is very lite, it holds 1 inch diameter lights really solid, more so than pricey mounts I used to buy. It must be placed on securely using a screwdriver. The oversized tension knob is easy to manipulate with you fingers and be removed in less than 5 seconds if needed in hand. You cannot go wrong with this mount.
Pros: lite, easily removable, solid retention on light
Cons: can work loose on larger calibers

Bang for buck

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on April 13, 2012
There are many flashlight mounts out there that are fancier and have a little nicer fit/finish but are at least 3x the price. This mount does what is intended to do and is solid. Can't beat it for the price.
Pros: Does what it's supposed to.
