Everything good except the batteries
This is just what it is intended to be and works well. The batteries that came with it where dead and leaking. It is well made and works as it should. I’m happy for the purchase to use as a universal gun bore sight. I tapped the back and threaded my bore cleaner brushes into it, stuck it into the end of my barrel.

Cheap made toy-like item
They say you get what you pay for. This is true. Low cost, low quality. Batteries were dead and corroded. I purchased new batteries so I could try it. Aluminum threads bind and battery cap is very hard to unscrew. And worse yet, the boresight flops around in the chamber enough that it is off 13 ft at 100 yds. This item is nothing more than a tactical cat toy. SMH

Not entirely useless... almost
Well, when they say you get what you pay for... better believe it in this case. First, the batteries provided were dead and slightly corroded. Second, and most importantly the beam is not focused enough for the purpose of bore sighting a .50BMG rifle. The blob (can't call that a dot) looks like a 1/2" bean at 38ft. Forget 100-yard, or even 25-yard, sighting. Third, the beam is not concentric to the case, thus the bore, making bore sighting a guess at best. The point of aim changes as you rotate the bore sighter in the chamber. In summary if you want to sight in your .50BMG rifle to 10 yards, this could work, passed that.... not so much. As a positive note, it works wonderfully as a tactical cat toy.

Works OK but could be better
Purchased this as a low cost option to the SightMark Bore Sight. While the product worked, it wasn't up to the SightMark. The ability to leave the battery in the unit was a plus but the threads required careful work to ensure the unit was either on or off. I late afternoon light it worked to about 50 yards, although the beam was dim. In low light conditions could be see the beam at 100 yards.
