Save your money. The AK tightens counter clockwise. This muzzle has an adaptor on it that tightens clockwise. If you tighten the muzzle down to the barrel you will separate the adaptor from it. Vendor Needs to include Instructions
I was very satisfied with this product, but had to work at it. I installed on my YUGO AK47.
The finish appears more cast iron then forged, but still looks really cool once you accept it. The color is slightly more grey then the blue'ing of the barrel, but along with other aftermarket bolt on's, it blends in fine. The design is actually very clever, and assures positive alignment (after you figure it out, since NcStar provides no instructions).
Basically, it comes in two pieces (adapter + brake). You must screw on the whole assembly, using a small screw driver to hold down the stock detent pin until brake is seated, then loosen external set screw and rotate the muzzle until it locks in place (yes, it has an up/down alignment position).
I have not yet tested/fired for function, but I am very pleased with the look/design of the product.

Poor Quality
I'm very upset with the quality of this product. It looks like a child forged it and the screw was very weak and stripped the moment I tightened it down and I'm not that strong either so maybe I don't know my strength or (more likely) the screw was junk. So now I have the burden of having to drill this screw out and most likely ruin the muzzle brake.
Would recommend: No
Fantastic Item
This item was amazing and worked way better than I thought. I thought with it coming from a lower end supplier such as NcStar is known to be that it would be cheaply made or perhaps not work but this thing was quality made and worked fantastically.

Was a little frustrating at first trying to figure out how to install as it is a 2 piece break. Once I figured out the puzzle with the provided Allen keys, I got it lined up. It was a little snug at first trying to screw it on, but I put a little extra lube on the threads and it went on smoothly.

ak47 muzzle brake
OUTSTANDING! All other muzzle brakes have one slot to install on rifle. This item has 4 slots to help install on rifle. I tried other muzzle brakes for with one slot, and could not line up slot to pin. This is a great item for my ak's.I suggest this muzzle brake for the ak's.
