Purchased this for a dedicated 22LR upper. Appears to be painted rather than anodized but doesn't seem to affect functionality. Clicks are fairly tactile, no complaints regarding the aperture, sits square on my rail. For the price, can't really complain.

Do not buy this Ncstar carry handle. The sight has about an 1/8" play from side to side when elevated 1 full turn (600m setting). I have 2 Colt carry handles I bought a few years ago at a machine gun shoot and they have very minimal play (about .005") and when you look strait down from above the carry handle the actual peep doesn't move just the housing, unlike the Ncstar's whole housing and peep move. The Colt will keep zero unlike the NC star peep moving about 1/16" from side to side totaling 1/8" which could put you off by alot at 600m. Unless you screw the elevation knob down all the way to where recoil will not let the housing move and you leave it there and zero at 200 or 300m and use holdovers then don't buy it. The Colt is over 4x's the price for a reason. Your call.
Pros:
- You can carry your rifle with it.
Cons:
- Will not hold zero when drum is elevated.

The 6/8 position unable to clock it into position correctly, it jams, when moved all the way up it is not smooth and jams.
Noted a lot of pitting under the paint and rear site is wobbly.
Made in China.

Very poor construction, excellent for a toy fake rifle . The sight is totally loose bad casting marks all over and sharp edges here and there . The tightening knobs are enormous, it look terrible I will Install on a junk rifle to trade after refinishing.

Wish rear dight didn't wiggle when raised, but good sight and can be used as carry handle. Very light weight, love the old school feel. Very economical. Would recommend.. great deal for a retro budget build.
Cons:
- Sigjt wiggles when raised for long distance shooting

I bought one of these for a retro build. I was a little disappointed to see that it was made in China. Overall the quality was decent for the price. The elevation does get a little wobbly when you crank the elevation knob up. The windage adjustment is not the best. Doesn’t feel very smooth.
