Decent laser/sight combo for the money
Got this to add to a Radical Firearms Socom upper. The upper needed a front sight, and I like the green laser, so it seemed like no brainer, especially since I scored a good deal on it at $45 shipped.
First impressions are mixed. 1) It’s heavy, adding 1/4 pound to the very front of your rifle...

Didn’t work right out the box
Quite excited to use it.Seems solid, but the laser doesn’t turn on .ive tried several different batteries. It doesn’t even come with a manual. Maybe it’s 60 bucks for this specific reason. Hopefully I can get an exchange.
laser light
Good laser for the price to put on a short AR and works well in daylight or dark
Would recommend: Yes
Green laser
Good laser for short AR it’s very bright and easy to sight in to rifle
Would recommend: Yes
Nice addition
The extra weight is not an issue, helps with recoil. Seem less installation and the controls are near perfect for a quick sight picture.
Would recommend: Yes

No lies here
Standard A2 sight as stated by company. I was able to replace the post with a night sight, no problems. Lines up perfect with a stand rear sight. Does what I bought it for, but battery life left me wanting.
Pros:
- Standard A2 Sight
Cons:
- Battery Life
Best Used for:
- CQB
- Target Designation
Would recommend: Yes

Fit and finish were a little better than your average NCStar product
I just unboxed this and have yet to mount it, but initial examination would indicate that this is a relatively decent product; there were a few tiny holidays in the anodizing, but the casting of the metal parts was good. The A2 sight is functional and works as it should. The laser is bright and appears to track correctly.
Being honest, the laser is largely for show. In an actual Home defense/CQB situation, it's only to let your target know that they've been targeted in hopes that it will scare them off; my AR has a 1 MOA EOTech for actual aiming purposes. All a green laser does is give your position away. It might be fun at the range, but the EOTech does the same thing without drawing a direct line back to me. But if I can dissuade someone who may be breaking into my house with a big, bright green dot and not actually have to shoot them (because if I'm using this, they're about 1/10th of a second away from that actually happening) then it's more than worth it. I'm sure it's significantly more effective than yelling "Stop, I have a gun!".
With that said, all my buddies are going to want one :)
