Ncstar compactr rifle scope review - NcSTAR Illuminated Compact Rifle Scope - 3-9x42E Ill. Scope / Ruby SEC3942R Rifle Scope

First got this rifle scope for a PSL 54C, but I was worried about the recoil so I mounted it on my AR 15 in 223/556. I took the rifle shooting 3 times, first two it held zero nicely and I was impressed with the optic quality given the price. On my third trip out to the range everything was going as expected until my second mag. I figured I was getting poi movement because I was firing faster than normal and the barrel became quite hot. So I adjusted it... fired another mag... adjusted it.... then midway through another mag I couldn't hit the paper. I looked at the scope and the top turret had fallen out!. The aluminum tube is very very thin and either the turret had been striped during installation or it just gave out with the thin thin... did I say.. thin aluminum.

A shame as I would have loved to purchase more for "fun guns" As it stands I see this as an unacceptable design flaw and wouldn't expect the scope to last long ever.
