Most Helpful Positive Review Really nice Scope
I put this scope on a scout mount for My mosin nagant, I have run between 500 and 1000 rounds of hard kicking 7.62x54 ammo thru the rifle and she is still right on. Love it
Most Helpful Negative Review Good Enought for the Price
While advertised as a pistol scope, the eye relief on this scope is also well suited to a scout scope. I put this scope on a Browning BLR in 308 Win with an eye relief of about 10.5 to 11 inches using a set of low Leupold QRW rings. After boresighting it, I fired about 60 rounds of 150 grain facto...

Long eye relief indeed

by Tony, from IL, United States Written on September 22, 2025
I originally purchased this for my SKS. Unfortunately, it is not good scope for that. The eye relief is a foot and a half. This is good scope for a revolver.
Pros:
  • Good optics for the money
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Pistol
Would recommend: Yes

Decent Scope

by Jim, from AZ, United States Written on August 29, 2021
It works for target plinking. Just be aware that their is no parallax adjustment, it seems to be set at about 50 yards. At 25 yards it is not quite on but pretty close. I use this on a 22 cal pcp air pistol that isn’t accurate enough for 50 yards. So this is not the scope to choose for serious 25 yard competition so if this is what you want it for spend the money for a higher quality scope for competition.
Overall a decent scope especially for the price.
Pros:
  • good for the money
  • Decent quality scope
Cons:
  • No paralax adjustment
Best Used for:
  • Target Plinking

put on SKS 'scout' mount

by John, from CA, United States Written on October 2, 2014
I needed a 'long eye relief' scope for a Scout-mount SKS (the scope is mounted over the barrel rather than at the rear of the receiver). This scope just does not have the power I need. The scope is too large for a pistol yet not powerful enough for a rifle. Even tho it is extremely inexpensive it is not worth buying.

For the money, you can't beat this scope...

by Legacy Reviewer, from LA, United States Written on September 16, 2013
This scope holds zero on my M44 just fine. I have it mounted on a Brass Stacker with the rings it came with and it's solid as a rock so far. I'm SO glad I didn't splurge on a $200+ scope. This scope works fine and is in no way cheap, just inexpensive.
Pros: rugged, holds zero, excellent features, amazing value
Cons: none
Would recommend: Yes

Best LER scope for the price

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on June 1, 2013
I have searched for such a rifle/pistol LER scope for almost one year, but in Europe is very hard to find one, so I called the NcStar directly and they redirected me to OpticsPlanet.com
The scope looks and feels solid, the illuminated reticle is great for dusk/dawn. This scope is the best option for my M44, and the mounts are very stable.
Pros: Price, eye relief, illuminated reticle
Cons: none so far
Would recommend: Yes
