Most Helpful Positive Review Nice Lower AR Tool
This seems to be a very robust tool - and looks to be powder coated finish. My immediate needed was to remove and then re-tighten the castle nut on the buffer tube. I think this tool will last a lifetime.

Don't use on A2 rifle buffer tubes

by Samazon, from TX, United States Written on June 5, 2021
This poor excuse for a tool damaged my buffer tube nut. Inspection shows that flats on the rifle buffer tube wrench are rounded. This makes it prone to rolling off the end of a rifle buffer nut at torque. I suppose you might get away with it if you held it perfectly straight at max torque. A surface like this shouldn't be used on an aluminum buffer tube through. The fit on the castle nut wrench is horrible as well, not going to risk using that. I'm going to try and return it. Oh heck, you got me,"Designed in American" but "Made in China"
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • poor quality
  • Exspensive
Best Used for:
  • I wouldn't

Good castle nut wrench

by Pullrack, from MO, United States Written on April 20, 2021
Used this wrench to disassemble a stubborn castle nut and loctite'd carbine buffer tube. The pincher-shaped feature is made to use on a carbine buffer tube. You'll have to remove your stock (pull out position lock as far out a possible, then slide stock off of tube) to use this wrench. The other end of the wrench has a ⅝" open end wrench size. This wrench fits a CMMG AR15 barrel nut that surprised me when I bought a CMMG keymod aftermarket handguard. The wrench has square holes for either ⅜ or ½ inch torque wrenches
Pros:
  • Appears to be drop forged
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • ar-15 maintenance/assembly
