This mount looks and works great on my Colt 9 mm AR-15. I used the NCSTAR rail to mount a laser foregrip. I looked at Magpull and Promag rails and their mounting holes did not line up with the mounting holes of the carbine handguard. The hardest part is the removal and reinstallation of the heat shields. I used Guntight on the screws to prevent them from moving. The rail is thicker in front (longer screw)and thinner in the rear (shorter screw) this allows the rail to be parallel to the carbine handguard which is thinner in the front and thicker in the rear.
Pros: Works with m-4 Carbine Handguards
Cons: You need to remove the heat shield in order to install it.
