Tapped the end cap on to my Mav88 mag tube with my punch pin hammer, lined the inside of the mount with grip tape and adjusted for my bayonets length and seems pretty sturdy. Not the greatest of quality metal but it'll do till I can find something better.

By elongating your barrel and ammunitions tube, you can use this to mount a bayonet on your HDX68!

I ordered this for a really old 870 Wingmaster that I've decided to turn into a home defense shotgun, and it's been going surprisingly good so far, as far as ordering parts, barrels, etc that will work with a gun this old. So far no problems until this "bayonet mount" arrived. I've ordered one of these in the past for a different shotgun, but I'm not sure if it came from Optics Planet or not. Anyway...the one that I bought before had the piece that went on the end of the shotguns magazine tube that the ring on the hilt of the bayonet attached to. This piece is essential if you really intend to mount a bayonet on your shotgun. This one doesn't come with that bit for some reason and it is quite impossible to mount a bayonet on your shotgun with out this bit, which makes it quite curious as to why they would call this item a "Shotgun Bayonet Mount" since it's quite impossible to do that without that essential part. I'm gonna go ahead and keep this item because it enables me to at east mount a flashlight on my shotgun and it also has the right sling mount for my sling. So, not all is lost, but it is absolutely worthless as a bayonet mount. Just a heads up about that.
Pros:
- well made bit of aluminum
Best Used for:
- flashlight, laser, sling mount

The service and speed with which optic planning ship this was excellent, however, the project itself, which was well-made, milling (not sure if just this one connector lug or not, was not able to lock onto a new genuine issue M9 bayonet.

I mounted this on a Mossberg Maverick 88 cruiser and with a little polishing on the tube cap it's a perfect and tight fit.
Pros:
- Works with my S&W M9 Bayonet perfectly.

Installed on a 8rd Mossberg 930 Tactical Shotgun (with a seven inch Choate Magazine Tube Extension with Sling Swivel Clamp Mossberg 930, 935, 5500 12 Gauge Matte).
Make sure what ever you mount this on the magazine tube is one inch (no more) and will accommodate the length of the handle of a M7 Bayonet.
Not sure of durability of the set up yet, I'll bayonet a few Hams to see if it all holds together .
I would suggest the Bayonet Lug itself would be made Steel instead of aluminum.
Once you set and tighten everything it is pretty solid, but I have yet to run through a ham yet.
Cons:
- Aluminum, Magazine Tube 1" in diameter .
Best Used for:
- Install fear, ground mount, ventilating things.

This is for a Mossberg 590 shotgun and magazine tube. It will not work on other models. It will easily Support the Smith & Wesson M-19 bayonet/survival knife. It is easy to mount on the magazine tube and below the barrel. The necessary hardware is included.

This is the genuine article!! Fits magazine cap perfectly and rear mount is heavy gauge steel that is a formidable anchor to secure bayonet. No doubt about this product.

This item works fine and attaches to mag tube securely. Inexpensive option for bayonet.

So, taking it out of the box, it looks like it’s quality built. The whole thing is made out of steel. The one problem is, it does not fit on the Mossberg 500 or 590 like it’s supposed to. All the way tightened, it still easily moves freely along the mag tube. It is fixable though. Just put some tape around the area you want to place it and tighten over the tape.
Pros:
- good quality
- Easy to insall
- Inexpencive
