A little while back, I bought an SKS off of Gunbroker that came with a bolt and pin in the receiver cover hole that was not original to the SKS design. Problem was, during firing, the bolt and pin would walk loose and would slowly get pushed out to the right everytime the gun recoiled. Thankfully, I realized this before the receiver cover had a chance to fly off into my face. I ended up pushing the pin back in after every 10 or so rounds so that I could I finish off my range session without needing to go home early. Only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is the stop pin it comes with doesn’t really do any good but maybe it was user error. Great product for the price

Excellently cheap, superior rusting.

It's Chinese (NC Star), so what can I say? The factory didn't seal the bag it was shipped, stored, shipped again in, nor put at least a drop of oil on this small, steel metal part to keep it from rusting.
It was lightly but obviously rusty when it arrived. I brushed the corrosion off of this new part with a fine, stainless buffing wheel, unfortunately taking the finish off with it.

Of course, this makes it perfect for an SKS... but still.

Hideous quality control on their part. Glad I won't need any more.

This is the only option I could find to replace the take down cover pin on my Sks which the prior owner had removed the pin for a scope mount. It does not fit out of the package and requires some adjustment. The side pin does not press in and need to be glued or epoxied in. I may try not to using the small pin that comes with it and use a roll pin instead. 4 stars because there are not any options out there and it’s nice to have someone still make the part.
