I was somewhat cautious about buying this sight for $43.50 delivered. I have several NcStar scopes and have never had any issues at all. Red dot sights are a different animal though, and I thought for the features that this price was too good to be true.
I was wrong. I received it a few weeks ago and I must say that I am impressed with the overall quality, finish and fit. The cantilever mount is probably worth the price alone. Three different color 3 MOA dots; red, blue and green. Each has 3 brightness levels and there are 3 off positions on the selector switch. The dot is a good circle, not some hashed out, abstract art looking scramble encountered on some brands.
It mounted nice and tight on the rail and is the perfect eye level for me. I am impressed! I notice that the price is steadily climbing now. Too bad, I was going to order another but I can't find one at my first purchase price. Word must be getting out. I do not hesitate to recommend this sight to anyone. I know there are those that turn up noses unless you buy a $500+ EOTech or an AimPoint. Be my guest if you want to pay to pretend you are active duty serving in the sand boxes. If you want a red dot sight that will probably meet your needs for years to come, try the DRGB135. BTW it has NcStar's lifetime warranty as a final sweetener.
Went to the range last Friday and zeroed it on my AR. It seems that the windage direction arrow is backwards. I was shooting to the left so I moved the screw right and the POI moved left, twice. Moved it way back to the left and the POI moved right. Once set, it grouped fine. Other than this backward adjustment, the sight is great.
Pros: Quality, form and fit
Cons: Windage adjust appears to be backwards
