Most Helpful Negative Review Does the job but could be better...

Goth this to replace an old worn out homemade sight pusher. At first i was impressed with this as it really locks the slide in tight as it has an adjustment for each side and top and bottom. It survived first use!

It's solid, it's heavy, it wanted to fall apart in use, but it got the job done. Canik TP9SF Elite with a well and thoroughly set rear sight. Tried right-to-left push, wouldn't budge. However the cranking handle fell out, the clamp for the top of the slide also fell out, and the brass nut on the opposite side of the main crank fell off. Didn't see or find a set screw for that. Managed to get the top clamp back in place. It still seemed to work left-to-right, and using a 15mm 1/2" socket, it finally got that rear sight to move. Reset the tool for left-to-right again and managed to set the new sight. Now we shall see if it will handle my CZ P10C when the new rear shows up next week!

It worked, even after losing a few parts.

Cons:

Parts shouldn't fall off in use.

Sight install tool

I bought a stripped slide for my Glock 26 that was optics ready. The slide had a dovetail for a sight. The optics is better with a sight reference. The tool feels good but other reviews said their tool broke. I hope mine doesn’t break and if it does I hope the company backs it up with a warranty.

Great universal sight pusher at a reasonable price

Once you figure this out it is very universal for pushing sights on pistol slides.You need to push out right to left and push in left to right. Dove tail cuts in slides are slightly tapered from left to right. This insures a solid fit of the sight. Should have purchased years ago.

The NC Starr rear sight tool works! It's super easy to setup and installation on dovetail rear sights are quick and easy. I would highly recommend this tool especially at the price Optics Planet sells it at.

Does the job

This isn't the most refined piece of equipment I have ever used, but it gets the job done. If you only have a few sights to adjust this is just the ticket. Reaches a good balance between affordability and good operation.

The device works as intended, though it would be much better if it was securely screwed down onto a work table or a vase, but the device is very easy and simple to use. Highly recommended.
