If you're familiar with Negrini cases such as those that come with Krieghoff or other such shotguns, you'll find an exceeding level of quality in this edition. The leather is also recessed along the bottom such that it won't be likely to rub the ground when set down. This was perfect for a 725 trap max.

I needed a case to fit a 34 inch barrel plus choke. This does it very well. Sturdy Negrini quality with beautiful leather trim. Perfect.

Bought this case again for another gun. This time an SKB HTR. Fits in this case with plenty of room. Stock has comb and but pad adjustment so there is plenty of room in that compartment. Two smaller areas for choke tubes and grease. Padded inside, top and bottom of case. Navy blue with brown leather trim.

Don't get me wrong this is a nice case but I guess I was expecting an Italian Lamborghini of a case, I don't feel that is what I received. I guess craftsmanship and quality control doesn't mean what it did when I was younger. My personal disappointments are: 1)I expected it to be a little more plush inside instead it is more like a thin felt/velour lining, 2)the case lids don't meet up exactly at the corners when the case is closed, and 3) The Leather wrap around the handle is offset they don't line up when it is closed one side is more forward than the other one.
The case however does seem very solid and protective and the brass buckles are nice. With that being said I probably would have been better off by purchasing the Negrini OU High Rib Trap/Sporting Shotgun Case 1657LR/5163, it is the same case without the leather work and brass buckles and I would have saved the money on the bells and whistles that really didn't amount to much anyway, if anything the leather highlighted and created the flaws that probably would not been as noticeable if it wasn't there. This is why I do not recommend this case, if you want a Negrini high rib case save the money and buy the 1657LR/5163.
