Most Helpful Positive Review my new go to for end plate and cattle nut
I've built approximately 9 or 10 different rifles. I have always used the Fortis in plate and castle nut due to the ratcheting and not having to stay. After using this one it will be my new go to. I like it better because even with the ratcheting in place sometimes you can go a little too far and then you end up still having to use a spanner wrench and can sometimes still be a pain to get off. With the set screw it will definitely eliminate all that.

The material feels like lesser quality than other castle nut assemblies. My castle nut wench slipped because the grooves were not deep enough . I did like the set screw idea but the execution is not there.

I don’t really use slings, so I haven’t tested the QD portion, but everything else checks out. It locks firmly without having to stake it. Big bonus right there.

Awesome End Plate/Castle Nut

I have 3 of these and they are great. The weight savings is .7 to .8oz less than most milspec end plate and castle nut combos. The set screw makes sure it stays in place quite well. It is made very well and looks awesome. Plaus you get the built-in qd. You get a lot of features for whay you pay.

The Ascend Armory QD End Plate and Castle Nut Kit solved my sling attachment woes. The quick-detach feature is handy for transitioning between shooting positions. The castle nut secured tightly, and the overall build feels robust. I’ll update this review after extended use.
