Updated review. Got it out in the woods an around large bodies of water. Worked great. Could resolve structures across the bay 3.5 miles away. Could clearly target boat pier pilings over 300 yards in half moon full overcast conditions, with lasermax Uni-IR laser. The illuminator works fine in woods but not necessary in most conditions
