Most Helpful Negative Review Very Limited Capabilities
I tried to use this night scope under a full range of lighting situations. I do not recommend this product for use where there is "any" ambient light. If used in "total" darkness it is just OK but not more. I recommend that you spend a little more money and get a real night optic.

Usable

At first I wasn't sure I wanted to keep it but after using it several times I decided it is a valuable tool. I am on big acreage and needed a night vision tool. Had to get used to looking through it. It is handy in locating stock and checking out the situation when I am walking the property after dark.
Pros: good price
Cons: would like a greater field of vision

Excelent Gen1 option

This is my first set of night vision optics. I found this set very easy to use and they function great.
I will buy another set of Night Owl when the time arrises.
Pros: Good construction, very easy to use, good sight picture
Cons: Eye relief and objective lenses will not hold adjustments if bumped.
