Great unit
I’ve been chasing whitetails and coyotes for twenty-five years, and the Night Pearl STRIX 35 MAX LRF is the toughest piece of night-hunting gear I’ve ever owned. When that brutal winter wind comes howling off Lake Michigan, this thermal powerhouse doesn't even blink. The 640 sensor with sub-20mK sensitivity delivers razor-sharp details, allowing me to spot a buck in dense brush over a thousand yards out. At night, judging distance across open, snow-covered fields is nearly impossible, but the built-in Laser Rangefinder takes away all the guesswork. At night, judging distance across open fields is nearly impossible, but the built-in Laser Rangefinder takes away all the guesswork. It instantly pings targets out to 800 yards with absolute precision.

TOP unite with LRF
Been running thermals for a while now and I’ll be straight with you — I wasn’t expecting much from a brand I hadn’t heard of. I was wrong.
Image quality on the 640 sensor is genuinely good. Clean, sharp, no smearing. Spotted a coyote out past 400 yards on a cloudy night and had no trouble reading the situation.
The rangefinder is what sold me on this one over the competition. Single press or continuous — you pick. That sounds small but when you’re glassing and something starts moving, continuous mode is just how you want to work.
Not a phone app guy. Never have been. Love that you can just pop in a microSD and pull footage without touching phone. This unit is running on one 18650 bat, enough for my hunting.
