Most Helpful Positive Review Worth every nickel
2.5-10x covers anything I need to do in Texas. This scope feels like some surgical instrument, the way the windage and elevation clicks, and I have never seen the equal to Nightforce glass - I own S&B and US Optics, both exceptional scopes, but Nightforce is another level. PIGS BEWARE Pros: Quality, like having teenage eyes again Cons: Quality costs money (duh)

Nightforce

by Highroller, from FL, United States Written on December 17, 2017
Got a Nightforce NXS 2.5-10-42 scope for my PRI MK12 Mod O build. Great scope you get what you pay for. Quality is top notch on Nightforce. Nxs is a great size for your AR-15. With the Douglas 18 inch match barrel and the Nightforce Nxs 2.5-10-42 using Black Hills 77 grain match ammo should be accurate out to 800 yards.
Pros:
  • quality size durability

Great Scope

by Jon, from WY, United States Written on April 8, 2017
This scope is everything I expected it to be. It has everything I wanted in a scope to be used on the rifle I purchased the scope for. It can be used on any rifle that is used for long range target, or other shooting application. I would recommend this scope.

My new varmint rifle, going with Nigtforce.

by FB, from MO, United States Written on September 20, 2016
Great scope, can't beat the quality. This is my third nightforce scope. Set it up on my AR-15 and took it to the range, had it zeroed in less than a hour. Can't wait to get to Montana next month to do some varmint hunting.

2.5-10x42 NXS

by Rug, from OR, United States Written on July 11, 2015
Received this as a gift from my son-in-law, WOW! what a surprise. Very easy to sight-in, super crystal clear optics. I typically buy Leupold Mil spec line of scopes. No offense to Leupold in any way; but this scope is AWESOME!! Enough said......

Durable with great clarity and function

by Vincenzo, from CA, United States Written on April 8, 2015
I have both Swarovski and Nightforce on my rifles, they are on the higher end of the price range but in all things in life you do get what you pay for. The clarity, field of view, and the 42mm objective in its high end quality and configuration make for a great compact. The function from the zero stop to range is quick, repeatable and flawless, the illuminated reticle with the choice between color and intensity is a great addition. Can't say enough for their PTL magnification lever it is a must needed improvement over older models with no magnification ring and lever arrangement. Durability, I don't bang around my scopes and throw them around as Nightforce does in one of their product video's but it is comforting to know it is able to take abuse. For me the IHR reticle is my number one choice it's clean and quick to aquire targets. The ring covers seem to be a bit of a joke, an afterthought and should of been excluded, something you would find on your kids toy gun not from a Nightforce quality product. They are terrible getting opened and closed, want to put your kids through college come up with a great scope cover design. I like the Leopold aluminium caps with magnetic closers, I machined a pair of adapter rings to fit a pair on one of my Swarovski's.
Overall in my opion a great compact with all the features you would want or need.......

Nightforce 2.5-10x42mm NXS Riflescope w/ Illuminated Reticle

by Tommy, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on March 24, 2015
Awesome scope, the zero stop is easy to set and is a great feature. The scope it self works well with my Wilson Tactical Recon 300 Blackout makes for a great high performance tool in the 3 Gun Comp. For 3 Gun I wanted a scope that could provide precision as well as a great field of view at closer ranges. Wanting to keep the weight to a minimum, the NXS compact and Ultralight mount is the perfect choice. The NXS I ordered comes equipped with a MOAR reticle, quarter-MOA turrets and the newer night vision-capable illuminated reticle. The scope complemented the rifle perfectly since it does not appear to affect my rifle’s balance.

Great scopes

by Andrew, from TX, United States Written on March 12, 2015
Not sure, but I think I have five Nightforce scopes. No problems with any. Worth the high price.
I have a fourteen pound sniper rifle with a on one of the scopes. First thing I said was " there went over two thousand
dollars". I took it to the range and did the function test. Turned turrets back in forth. No problems.

Very clear

by Eric, from CA, United States Written on March 9, 2015
Mounted this on an AR-10 and it is among the clearest glass I have ever had. Very solid adjustment clicks and the power throw lever is a great feature. Only thing I am upset about is that I didn't just spend the money on a Nightforce in the past. They are very high quality and their customer service is always willing to answer any questions.
Pros:
  • rugged
  • Clear
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • whatever

Excellent Optic

by Mike, from CO, United States Written on November 3, 2014
I looked at and reviewed many rifle optics before I made this purchase. For my purposes, the Nightforce fit the bill. Although a little pricier than others I looked at, I find it well worth the added investment.
