Most Helpful Negative Review Low Light Capability
If you intend to hunt in low light situations buy the illuminated version. This is a quality scope but without illumination late afternoon hunts will be cut short. You will be back at the truck before everyone else.

This scope has all the features one would want. Great clarity throughout the magnification range; more than adequate eye relief; elevation and windage adjustments are as stated by the manufacturer; reticle light is quite good; and the light transmission is excellent.

Nightforce makes some of the best scopes on the market. This one get the job done and you don’t need to spend a ton of money. The glass is clear. I have some of their higher end scopes and they never disappoint. Optics planet is always great and fast shipping and customer service is fantastic.

great scope

I bought this for a 308 and have had several range sessions. Very impressed. Eye box is forgiving and love the reticle. I got the forceplex for hunting purposes. I opted for the non-illuminated version and am happy with what thE purchase. This is an older scope design BUT it has proven reliable on many reviews and turret tracking tests.

Nightforce scope

I have a 4-14x56shv it is the best scope I ever had. This one is a easy 800 to 1500 yard for sure. Mine is on a Savage 338 Papua mag what a match. I can add it to anyone of my rifles. It will work well on my M14 and my Rem 700.

SHV 4-14x56 review

Excellent scope, extremely clear. You can't beat the price for this quality, buy it, you can't go wrong with this scope. The SHV is the best quality scope I have ever had.
I mounted it on a Springfield M1A Precision 6.5 Creedmoor and zeroed it in two shots at 50 yards, moved to 100 yards and it was dead on. I shot another 30 rounds and it was always dead on...just one large jagged hole. Love this scope.

Nightforce is a great scope and priced right at OpticsPlanet. My customer is getting ready for a safari to South Africa, and wanted quality glass. He is amazed at the difference the Nightforce made. The customer is 74 years young, and is recommending the scope to the hunters going on safari with him.

Built military strong

The glass is exactly what I expected, clear and crisp. The body is robust, military strong. Balance is also well suited for my specifc use on a Savage Stealth 300 win mag. So far the recoil has not degraded any aspect of this scope.I specifically selected this scope because , my eyes are no longer as young as they used to be. Retired Military

Built To Last

Do yourself a favor and get the illustration and you will not be sorry. These people at Optics Planet are willing to deal, so you might just get that extra feature for the same price or pretty close to it. This scope is beautiful and easy to zero. It's everything I was looking for and after building my rifle for long range shooting, I'm off to the 1K yard range we have in Florida. It's a short drive from where I am and I want to shoot at 1K yard range with this new Night Force scope. The Moar reticle is great and real easy to use
