Jb's Review of Nikko Stirling Prism Scope 4x32mm Mil-Dot Reticle Red Dot Sight

I Bought this for acog look with similar performance to prism sights like the Burris 332 or primary arms. I knew from the start that optics planet and every other website selling it had the description wrong, but did my own research and thought a simple, 4x prism that mounts to a carry handle would be easy to not mess up this bad. I even emailed Nikko Stirling directly and they told me they had no information on the scope and that it was just branded by them for optics planet and their affiliates, which seems shady to me. The body is not in line with the mount, almost as if the spacer piece is canted. The glass has a halo distortion that blurs out everything outside of the focal point. It is also some of the worst glass I’ve looked through and I’m far from a glass snob. None of my scopes are over 500 bucks so I’m used to glass in the budget to mid range. The reticle was canted slightly to the right. The hole for the iron sights on the spacer had paint built up to the point of almost obscuring the view entirely. I wanted to take a chance, thinking I might find Chinese gold, but this is the worst scope I’ve ever looked through. Optics planet and Nikko sterling both being okay with selling junk without even checking it out makes me want to not do business with either. The description being as completely wrong as it is means that these companies took the Chinese description, bought the product garbage product, slapped a label on it with zero product testing and zero qc. Trash experience, trash scope, and absolutely terrible business by both companies.

  • None
Cons:
  • everything
