seen better airsoft knock offs.

Written on Jan 27, 2024

I Bought this for acog look with similar performance to prism sights like the Burris 332 or primary arms. I knew from the start that optics planet and every other website selling it had the description wrong, but did my own research and thought a simple, 4x prism that mounts to a carry handle would be easy to not mess up this bad. I even emailed Nikko Stirling directly and they told me they had no information on the scope and that it was just branded by them for optics planet and their affiliates, which seems shady to me. The body is not in line with the mount, almost as if the spacer piece is canted. The glass has a halo distortion that blurs out everything outside of the focal point. It is also some of the worst glass I’ve looked through and I’m far from a glass snob. None of my scopes are over 500 bucks so I’m used to glass in the budget to mid range. The reticle was canted slightly to the right. The hole for the iron sights on the spacer had paint built up to the point of almost obscuring the view entirely. I wanted to take a chance, thinking I might find Chinese gold, but this is the worst scope I’ve ever looked through. Optics planet and Nikko sterling both being okay with selling junk without even checking it out makes me want to not do business with either. The description being as completely wrong as it is means that these companies took the Chinese description, bought the product garbage product, slapped a label on it with zero product testing and zero qc. Not for ria govt.

Written on Jun 08, 2018

Kept hanging up somewhere, was unable to install on am RIA govt. Every video online pointed to filing down the arm that engages the trigger. I filed down, checking along the way, and ended up filing down too much. Still doesnt engage properly. When i push in the beavertail, the hole doesn't line up where the thumb safety inserts. When the thumb safety is in, it doesnt go in all the way. I tried filing down the sides, and the actual dove tail part after i had ruined it. No dice there either. Don't know if i should order a new one, or try a different brand. None of my troubleshooting worked, so i'll try to figure it out and post back.
