I have tried three different binoculars, and the Nikon Action Extreme 10x50 I am keeping. The biggest thing that I like about these are the twist out eye cups. I wear glasses, and finding binoculars that are comfortable both with and without glasses is important. With the twist out eye cups, you have 4 choices. All the way in, and then there is three clicks out from that for a longer eye relief. With some other binoculars that only have fold down eye cups, I was not comfortable with them out, or folded in. I also like the way these feel. The general shape, and the external coating is very comfortable in my hands. I will be using these while canoeing, camping, and stargazing, so the fact that they are waterproof, and fogproof is also a plus. As far as optics, out of the three binoculars that I looked at a 7x35, another 10x50, and these Action Extreme 10x50s. For the money, these are better then I expected, and a 25 year warranty to boot.
