Most Helpful Positive Review Great Binos!
Great binos for star gazing! I was able to identify M51 and M81 with ease! Open clusters look great. Jupiter was a nice disc with the moons visable. I was able to just split Alberio. Pin point stars over most of the field. Tripod adaptable too. I'm very pleased with this purchase. Pros: Excellent optics Cons: poor lens cap design

I bought these 15 years ago. Used them 5 days a week reading meters for the power company. Can’t beat the quality of these binoculars. The only negative thing I can say is that the rubber on eye piece split. I contacted Nikon and told them what happened, and even without a receipt, they had me mail them back.

Well, today I received a brand new pair of Action Extreme 10x50 binoculars, and they are the best binoculars I have ever used, hands down.

I can’t recommend Nikon or these binoculars highly enough to express my satisfaction. Whether you want to use them for hunting or for work, you’re going to be very happy.
Pros:
  • field of view
  • easy to adjust
  • Crisp image resolution
  • excellent in low light
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Anything needing accurate long distance viewing

Great for price.

I purchased these as an inexpensive pair to keep in the car as an all-purpose set for quick use when needed for hiking, shooting etc. So far I have used them for range use for minor target spotting (100 yards) and doing some nature hikes with the kids and so far they are working fine. They seem very rugged I have to admit so for me they have been a good purchase.

Nikon Binos

One of the best values for the price I've seen. I've got an addiction to good optics but not the big wallet to get the high end stuff. These meet my "jones" without emptying my wallet. Works great for glassing deer in the deep woods.

Great all around binoculars

by nld, from HI, United States Written on March 13, 2015
This was my first pair of quality binoculars, and it opened up a whole new interest in optics for me. Can't really go wrong with these good all-purpose binoculars. I eventually bought more expensive binoculars thinking that these would be left behind, but they continue to hold their own and are just too useful to give up. You have to spend 2x more to get a noticeable improvement.
Pros:
  • well built
  • Quality optics
Cons:
  • big and heavy compared to roof binos

Great Binoculars

by Flash, from WA, United States Written on September 9, 2014
A friend of mine had a set of Nikon 10X50 Action Extreme Waterproof Binoculars 7245 near his living room windows. I picked them up to look at a northbound tugboat/barge nearing Point No Point about 7.5 miles across Puget Sound. Although I could not read the vessel name, I recognized the tug as being the "Captain Cook". I was impressed with the clarity of the binoculars and the ease of focus.

I ordered a pair of these #7245 glasses and have found them great for spotting wildlife, aircraft and sceneries. I look forward to taking them where we winter in Arizona and have a "million dollar" panoramic view of the Colorado River, mountains etc.

I highly recommend these binoculars.
Pros:
  • Extremely Bright for the Price Point
Cons:
  • None.
Best Used for:
  • Outdoor use in bright light and for color enhansement
