Best bang for the buck!
This is a great all-in-one package. It's compact, fool-proof, and weather-proof! For something that fits in your pocket, this is the best you can get without spending a huge fortune. If you want serious zoom, you probably will want something bigger. Otherwise, this one is great!

Im not sure if this is typical Nikon since I have no complaints about their photo stuff. I think this unit was dammaged somehow during shipping caused by the poor,careless,no sign of inteligence, packing by the shippers at optics planet. The eye cups are cheesy.

Nikon 12×25
They are nikon but aren't clear for nothing. They adjust to fit your eyes but i cant get 2 full views out of both lenses at the same time. Brand new out of the box and it looks like your're looking through smoke. My opinoin...save your money for something better.

Great value
This is about the lightest pair of 12X25s you can find. The optics are very good, I do not hunt so I cannot compare them to more expensive units, but I did some dusk owl hunting in a group and I did get to compare these against some 50 mm objectives and did not notice a perceptable difference in brightness.
For hiking and birding I think these are tough to beat. I know some say that 10X is good enough for birding and that more is too much, but I have not had a problem with these.
