I initially purchased this scope for .22 benchrest 50/50 matches to replace an older, now discontinued, 2x7x28 Leupold . After practice and a 50 yd match at 12X the 75 yd parallax is an issue with the crosshairs moving quite a bit if you shift head position at all. However, when shot offhand with a firm hold and cheek on the stock eye position is consistent and mitigates the parallax movement The rifle is spot on for swingers at both 35 and 50 yards and would be excellent for hunting rodents and small game. It is an excellent hunting scope with a useful range of magnification.

I bought this scope back in 2011 and had served me well for all this years. I set it up on my 223 Remington 700 and used up to 77grn Match ammunition for Deer hunting and it puts the bullet right where I set the crosshair. tracks well every time all the time.

I've had mine on top a ruger American 30-06 about 4 years now and it still works great. CNt beat it for the price and I like it better than some of the more exspisive glass I've shot out of. And for those out there tht don't like there's I'll take em.

Nikon went all out with their BDC data software and bullet / ammo values in getting a good idea what to your long distance shots would be. This is the 4th Nikon scope purchase this year. All were with the BDC set up.
Take the time on Nikon's web site to get the maximum accuracy from your rifle or other firearm.

This scope is a super scope for the price. It is crystal clear and is sharp visually. I now own 3 of these exact models and would highly recommend getting one. Optics Planet matched a previous purchase price even after a sale price expired. If I need another rifle scope this will be my choice. you would not be disappointed with this scope.

I was shocked at how accurate this scope was for the price I paid. 5 shots and I was knocking gnats off a ticks back @100yds (now that's accurate). Anyway very good scope and optics planet once again came through with great service. Thanks NIKON and OPTICS PLANET!! Highly Recommended

This scope is a great deal! Very clear and very bright in low light situations. Very satisfied with it. Holds zero. You will be hard pressed to find a scope of this quality at this price. Will purchase again for other various rifles.

Ordered as a replacement for a failed scope. Wonderful clarity. Mounted on a 300 H-H Magnum. Fired about 20 rounds to sight in. Held to the tight group I had tailored this rifle and its loads to. Am very happy to date. Will be putting to the tough test of late season Montana Elk hunting with shots around 300 yards the norm. I am anxious to become proficient with the hollow dot long range rectical. Scope cover size for the front objective is best at a Butler Creek #9 or equivalent.

I had this scope mounted for roughly 4 years on a 270 Winchester. It performed flawlessly for the previously mentioned time frame until I missed a relatively easy shot. I checked the zero and it failed to fire a moa shot group at 100 meters. Actually the shot group was creeping on 4 inches. I replaced this scope with an extra Vortex I had and we were back in business with a sub moa group again. I returned it to Nikon service and the circus act began. They allegedly repaired the scope and returned it in warranty. However the exact same thing occurred after it was remounted . I again contacted Nikon and we went through the same hat dance again. In my opinion these are decent scopes unless they malfunction. At that point save yourself the aggravation, time, ammunition, and trips to UPS because if you trust Nikon technical service for warranty repair you end up with nothing but an overpriced paper weight.
