I have this mounted on a new AR15 build. I haven’t tried it yet but it looks so nice & feels very solid. Looking through them the first time I was pleasantly surprised. I really like super clear, sharp, bright optics and I really like the features of this scope. I did a lot of research on value for money scopes and for the price it is definitely worth buying. Nikon stand behind it with No Fault Policy lifetime Repair/Replacement warranty. Now that's AAA+
Pros:
- Best bang for the buck
- Solid well built
- Features + Value

As with most Nikon products the scope is very clear and dials very user friendly. We put the scope on a 240 Weatherby Mark V. Chronographed the load and then used a simple ballistics calculator to see trajectory. We had gongs set up at 300, 350, 400, 450 and 550 yards. Staring at 300 yds(our zero) my nephew proceeded to pop each gong one after the other out to the 550yd gong using the calculated trajectory and the elevation turret. It is so cool when a plan comes together like this with a reliable, repeatable scope. My nephew thought he was the stuff with that scope and rifle.
Pros:
- Clear and bright view, easy parallax adjustment, repeatable windage and elevation settings.
Best Used for:
- Long range shooting and hunting
- Long range shooting

I purchased this scope to mount on a Ruger Precision in 6.5 Creedmore. The first time out, I was able to shot less than 1/2" groups at 100 Yards. The scope was very easy and positive to adjust and the clarity and brightness, on a totally overcast day. was fantastic down range. I would recommend this scope to anyone. Thank you Nikon for another Great product .. It lived up to all of the reviews I read in making this purchase decision!!
Pros:
- Bright.clear and easy to adjust
Best Used for:
- Long Range target or hunting

Glass very clear and holds zero. Scope is durable and turrets make dialing in a breeze. I have it mounted on my 6.5 Creedmoor and I haven't noticed any shifting after 100 rounds. This scope should allow you to shoot about 850 yards.
Pros:
- durable
- Accurate
- Very clear

I bought this scope at the same time as a Vortex Strike Eagle 4-24x50. Both are being used on 6.5 creedmoor bolt actions, using the same bases and same rings. This is an amazing scope, and as you expect from Nikon, it is clear, crisp, and very well made. Turrets have a good feel to them, nice positive and audible clicks. The reticle is nice, and the illumination is bright, easy to see during the day. The eye relief is as advertised.
Comparing the two, the Strike Eagle has a nicer reticle, my opinion, and the reticle illumination on the Strike Eagle is brighter. I do like that Nikon has an off setting in between each setting, the Vortex does not. The Nikon caps are easier to reset to zero. The turrets are much better marked on the Vortex. No difference in ease of use though. The Nikon turret caps line up ever so slightly better, but that's getting really into the weeds. The Nikon is easy adjusted without a throw lever, but not so loose that it would ever be a problem. the Vortex is pretty tight and is much easier to adjust with w throw lever.
Overall, both are awesome scopes and each will do anything you could want. I really like the Nikon, but for the price difference, I would buy the Strike Eagle. If the Nikon was within $50 of the Vortex, then I'd go with the Nikon.

This scope is the best value for the money in my opinion. It's about 85-90 percent as good as the best scopes out there including Swavoski, SnB, Zeiss, about 90-95 percent as good as Nightforce. BUT it is 75 percent less expensive! To my mind that's the best deal around. I've also ordered the 4-16x50 FFP Nikon Monarch 3. Same value but this time a First Focal! Can't wait to try it.

Was at the range to day and was sighting in my 2 rifles at 100 yards one scope was a Burris and the other as the Nikon black. I was using the 3" shoot n see targets which are not the greatest to see without spotting scope. I must say they were compatible power and I was able to see the hits a little better with the Nikon.
