Most Helpful Positive Review Best in the business
Nikon is recognized as one of the best in the optics business. I looked through a gamut of different name brand rifle scopes at all price levels. Nikon was easiest on the eyes, great eye relief, quick target acquisition, sharp focus throughout the zoom, superb light retention and the BDC reticle des...

Buckmasters 3-9X40 BDC Riflescope

by MountieFan16, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on November 20, 2019
Bought this scope a month ago for my Browning T-Bolt in 17HMR. Very good glass, sharp and picks up color very well. Controls for moving point of impact are crisp and easily decernable. I've never used a BDC scope before, and not sure if it will be effective for my 17, but it's an interesting concept for a more powerful cartridge. I'd recommend this scope, particulary at this price point.
Pros:
  • Clarity, Brightness, and excellent controls
Cons:
  • Plastic covers on the controls
Best Used for:
  • Hunting, or Plinking
Would recommend: Yes

Got mine on sale for $99. Expected a great scope for a great price and was not disappointed. Mounted on a Marlin Heavy Barrel .17. Looks great. Dead on at 100 yards. Haven't taken it out to the ranch yet, but when I do, coyotes beware.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Quality
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • varminting

Perfect scope for a bugdet

by Brandon, from AZ, United States Written on March 16, 2019
For the money this buckmaster 3x9 is as good as it gets. Suprised how clear it was. Good relief. Have it on a 6.5x55 shooting 140gr accubonds and has been ideal for up to 200 yards for me. Nice click you can really feel when adjusting elevation which I also like. For $130 cant really go wrong.
Pros:
  • Clear, bright
Cons:
  • Buckmaster logo
Best Used for:
  • hunting

work for me

by gary, from IA, United States Written on December 30, 2018
I have had to replace other brands that would not take the recoil of some of my guns. The Nikons have stood up plus the fact that I like the bdc on these scopes. The support staff at Nikon has been great to answer any of my questions. They care...Their warranty is great---I just haven't had to use it yet. Optics Planet ships super fast also. Best of both worlds. Thanks. Gary

Great product, good price!

by tundra22, from OK, United States Written on January 17, 2018
My 3rd Nikon Buckmaster II scope. All have been very good, solid scopes that get the job done without breaking the bank. Clear and clean scopes. Put this on son's Weatherby 243 and it does great. I'm not a huge fan of the BDC reticle on a kids gun but hard to find 4 plx ones nowdays with everyone pushing their "bdc" styles.
Pros:
  • Not expensive
  • Clean ,crisp view
  • Solid well built
Cons:
  • Reticle lack of options
Best Used for:
  • hunting deer

by Altsoldat, from MS, United States Written on June 23, 2017
I have several Nikon scopes on various rifles. Got this for a 300 BLK build. Very satisfied. Can't beat the price for Nikon quality. BDC works great with their online app. Will buy another for any future builds. Optics Planet was fast on delivery.

review of scope

by spence, from FL, United States Written on April 10, 2017
after looking for a good for a good scope with a good price I settled on Nikon.after mounting the scope I took it to a private range for zeroing in.I use my guns for target practice and only shoot at 50 yards. The scope was easy to adjust and zeroed right in with no problems. So far in love with the scope. Would recommend it to any one.
