Nice scope
Love the scope. Nikon has a winner with these coyote series I think. I have the real tree max-1 mounted with a Burris P.E.P.R onto a Daniel Defense Ambush .223 which is also real tree. However, the color of the scope is much less green than the real tree on my gun. The scope's color looks more like mossy oak to me. Not a big deal though.
Pros: Very clear, love the reticles
Cons: color is more like mossy oak
Beautiful scope but the reticles?
I think the quality of this optic is terrific. I can't complain about anything offered from NIKON except for the reticle in this case. I understand the concept and I am sure plenty love it but I had a very hard time getting center groups on target with the larger reticle ring. I prefer the crosshair reticle more than this style. I am selling it to a friend who wants this scope and he likes the reticle so it works out great for him. I will by a different NIKON.

Bob coyote special camo scope
shipping sucks from fedex smartpost. it took 10 days and it shipped 100mi. past my house then back and dropped at usps to deliver.
Pros: camo finish is nice, i like the reticle but have not tried it in the field. i am putting the scope on the new savage bmag.
Cons: no parallax adjustment. and tight movement of the zoom.

varmit killer
I bought one when they cost much more than now ($400). But the scope has preformed so well, it was money well spent. At $199 they are a bargin. Very clear, functions perfectly. I have engaged targets and varmits out to 600 yards with proper dope on the scope with outstanding success. I have used on .223 and 6.8 with no recoil shock problems. Scope has never lost zeros, and I have drug it though heavy brush, ridden on bumpy roads and horseback. Camo blends well with camo burlap and gilly suit when hunting those sneaky preadators. It's a winner.
