Nikon Naturescope-7314

Excellent optics with very good contrast, very litle spherical distortion and no obvious colour fringing. The microscope is small and light making it easy to carry and to hold in one hand for use. We bought it to use looking at flowers, fungi, animals and insects with grandchildren and others in the bush. It is excellent for this purpose. The stage can be rotated away so that flowers, bark, tool edges and other objects of interest can be examined hand held. It is quite easy to brace oneself and the hand held subject so that shake does not interfere excessively.
Pros: Very good optics. Light and compact.
Cons: None recognised as yet. We have not exposed the microscope to moisture.

I like the product, but find it more lightweight than I expected. Would be happy with a slightly larger, heavier desk equivalent also.
Pros: Lightweight, easy to use.
Cons: Maybe too light, if lab or desk conditions.
