CharlieTango's Review of Nikon M-308 4-16x42mm Rifle Scope
I purchased this about 2 years ago to use for hog hunting. I had just gotten a Remington 700 VTR in .308 and was really looking forward to pairing the two and killing a wild boar. Unfortunately, the darned thing was backordered for about 4 months, and I had to take a different rifle. When I did finally receive the scope, it was plenty easy to mount, bore sight, and finally sight in. I let a friend use the rifle for a pig hunt last year, and while he didn't see anything to shoot, he commented on how great the glass was. I was finally able to take the gun with me on a deer hunt this year and had great success. Using the BDC software is great, and I had done so quite a few times while trying to memorize the different points at 10X magnification. Here's a tip - print it out and bring it with you. That saved my bacon. I saw two does at about 300 yards, consulted the printout, put the appropriate mark on her shoulder, and pulled the trigger. When I got there, I checked the wound and my hand loaded 165 gr Sierra SPBT went directly through the aorta - a surprisingly accurate kill shot. I would recommend this scope to anyone that hunts large fields and has to cover distances longer than 200 yds.
