Jeepster's Review of Nikon Monarch III 4-16x50 Rifle Scope
I have two of these now, one has been on a savage model 10 precision carbine in .223. Just put this one on a Rem model 700sps .308. Never had any problems with the old one, so I got another. I dont use the bdc dots when I shoot, but the nikoplex (normal cross hairs) makes the scope cost another $70. It's a great scope for the money, hard to beat a nikon. Only give it four stars cause they change prices because of the reticle format.
Pros:
- Good eye relief
- costs much less than a leupold or zeiss of the same power
Cons:
- Nikoplex reticle costs more than the bdc reticle
Best Used for:
- punching holes in paper
- deer bustin
