Nikon 3000 stabilized range finder - Nikon MONARCH 3000 STABILIZED Laser Rangefinder, 6x21mm

have not had it for long but here are a few observations thus far. at first power up unit was intermittent, found battery cover was not tight enough. tightening battery cover by hand was insufficient. did not want to use pliers on battery cover. I applied dielectric grease to threads of battery cover and this resolved the issue.

also noted, range finder and stabilization works fine, but when ranging objects in a busy field of view it would be nice if there was a quick and efficient way to select first object field of view or second object field of view. a second toggle button for this feature would greatly improve the ease of use of the range finder. the current configuration requires that you have to go into the menu and select the feature, this is cumbersome.
