Great clarity and solid build. Was worried the 10-52 would be a little “shaky” when trying to focus in on an object but that hasn’t been an issue. My wife likes them so much we’re going to get a second pair.

I have owned a Nikon Monarch 7 for several years and I am using it almost daily, mostly for birding purposes.
First, these binoculars are extremely light, weather resistant, clear, sharp and perform very well, even in very low light conditions. Aside of that, they are ergonomic, which is an added often overlooked bonus. In many ways, the Nikon Monarch 7 binoculars are a birder's dream - at least for one that is on a budget of binoculars under $500.
The only problem I had after using them for a few years was that the rubber seals on the eye cups got worn out.
When I sent the binoculars to get these seals replaced, Nikon offered to pay for the shipping and the replacement. I paid for the shipping myself ($13) and the Nikon Service people not only replaced the seals but also repaired other damages that were my fault (I dropped the binocs) for free, no questions asked. In short, their service was nothing short of excellent. I generally don't write online reviews, but my experiences with the service staff of Nikon as well as the product itself were so good, that I feel compelled to share them.
Despite the eye cup seals that wear out a bit too fast, I can only rate the product and service as excellent.

I purchased these binoculars because of their ease of use, the wide field of view and their ease of handling. This is the first pair that I can easily adjust both sides quickly and easily. At 10X I can hold the scene pretty steady. The optics are very bright and I anticipate good viewing at sunrise/sunset. OPTICSPLANET offered these at a significant discount to Sportsmans Warehouse where I initially tried them out. They are very rugged and I expect many years of use.

Never had a quality pair of binoculars. Bought these for my wife on Christmas and she loves them. We have a 60 acre open field next to our home with lots of wildlife, it is so much more enjoyable using these binoculars than our old pair of basic binoculars. The optics are so clear and vivid, what a treat. Well worth the money, buy these and you won't regret it.
Pros:
- Clear, bright optics
- light weight and comfortable
- work well witheye glasses
Best Used for:
- Bird watching
- wildlife observation

My old binoculars needed replacement after 20 years and a lot had changed during that time - better quality at lower prices and more choices. The Nikon Monarch 7 10x42 got good reviews and were better than my old binoculars for half the price. Optics Planet gave a lot of detailed information on their website. The shipment arrived ahead of the expected date even though it was a Christmas order. The binocs are easy to use and have a very bright field of view. I am very happy with my choice.

Perfect size/weight and I can carry them in a large coat pocket. Neck strap is good also. The 10x is perfect for my birding. No negatives. I compared them against a much older pair of $2000 Swarovskis and found very similar performance. I like to walk long distances outdoors so judging by performance/convenience, I would much rather be around carrying the Monarch 7's. After researching the reviews, which all indicate the Monarch 7 as top rated at their price point, I would agree.

While these binos are slightly darker than my friends Swarovski's they are pretty close when you consider the cheaper price. Also the Nikon's are not as crisp especially near the outer edges of the glass.
All things considered, they are a Great buy at 25% of the cost of the premium optics.

I also have the predecessor version. I am an amateur watcher of wildlife and some birds. This model has improved brightness due to the EDG glass and VASTLY improved lens caps. There is a little more rubber armour coating as well. This pair is almost as good as a German brand at three to four times the price.
Pros: Great Value, Bright
